7:30am the downstairs window gets busted in...
Hi all, finally something exciting to post about!Last night I dropped like a rock to sleep. I wake at 7:30am to the distinct sound of a window being busted in (I believe he used a chair to stand on and kicked it in). Domestic dispute. Then I remember that voice over ip has no 911 feature. lol. i ALWAYS thought i wouldn't need it. so i go into the phone book for rcmp and let em know what's going on.
they were here in like 3 minutes. some lady was outside telling the person breaking in to leave before the cops show up. Then she's telling the cops she just got there....lol. Normally I don't call police but the dude seemed either cracked out or something really whacked. If he didn't say "yer lucky i don't stab you" i would have let it go on.
I wanted to listen to it as it was like a crazy radio show. didn't have that good of a view but anyone who's been on my balcony knows sound carries between the 2 ghetto buildings were at. the thing is, it's not radio...it's not my amusement. it's some person breaking into a window of a place he paid 60 bucks to stay at, seeing a girl with another guy, and theatening to kill them...
It was quite the shocker to wake up to. This is why i don't live 1st floor. zombies/junkies don't normally climb when there are 1st floor places to attack. Some people might bash police and say they are scum but sometimes in moments like these i find them more noble then even fire department officers. They deal with shit no one else wants to. Like I want to get involved with some person who's mad at 2 other people. I don't need them mad at me.
I think they took the crazy dude away. What a way to wake up tho. I can't sleep now that i'm wired. I've been having a debate over the whole lock yer door vs not locking it. I've been a locker myself. Anyone who needs in has a key so I enjoy the only way people get in is thru the locked door or climbing balconys (which is rare).
Those cops sure deal with the worst of the worst. 3 cars showed up out front. I realise no one polices the police but they aren't killing off civilians like roman guards or nothing and they aren't american troopers so the rcmp could be much MUCH worst.
I'm happy our lease is up. This place is cool for saving money but i'd like somewhere i can park a car/bike, somewhere i won't be woken by this kinda crap, and something where the rent actually counts (renters are suckers since leasers OWN their property's payments).
I just think of a world without "the law" and the lawlesness would prob cave in on itself forming into power groups. Gangs protecting or looting depending on whose side yer on. Least we all know the cops are neutral (other then serving themselves of course). Wrongful arrest vs killed for the amusement of some gang member. Someone has to take guard duty.
