The starting of a new week here. the guys are going to the island for 3 days or so at 4pm today so that'll give me and erin some time alone. That'll be cool. www.captaincoupon.ca is in beta. needs a pic or two and some polish but otherwise fine. Anyone /w ideas for improvement I'm always all ears. :D always love to hear advise.
If the hanger gets done before 4pm I'll freak out! I hope to not wait like 3 days with not getting sales people together. Tomorow I'd like to get them and visit the printers with the design in hand. That'd rock!
Tried to fix a computer today but the video card is shot. Erin is working her Friday today so maybe tomorow we'll go hunt a new one (like 3-4 bucks second hand b/c I just need any one....it's like a win98 system....133mhz i believe. 1.3gb hard drive). I'd cry if I had a 1.3gb hard drive. no really. Win XP takes 1.5 JUST FOR XP!
So I loaded it up with the software it needs to run again. free antivirus/firewall. (yoinked the hard drive and put it in my system to just work on the files that way. save the important stuff to my drive, format, and back it goes to their fleshly formatted, empty, drive)
too bad the mouse doesn't fit the back of the case...lol. guess with no video that's not the 1st concern tho...lol. was able to use parts hanging off my wall (i decorate my room /w hardware...soundcards, ram chips, old modems/network cards, etc...i think it looks pretty). i grabbed the network card (they had a phone modem) and i bet the ram chips will add 8-16mb more ram (old sticks, junk to any new system but good to keep for just occasions like helping this poor thing).
least with windows 98 it's UBER FAST! anyone who has an xp machine and is brave to install 2 operating systems is asked to try out 98 on like a 2.8ghz system. you'll have boot up in under 20 seconds easy. prob 10 seconds even. 98 is just so damn fast. when they went with nt code for xp i completly understood why they would. it's slower but more secure (well then 98 where you hit esc to bypass their password startup screen...lmfao).
things like that to amuse me throughout the day. so the system is a bust untill tomorow when i score that vid card. something i never have enough of....

"ah, that sure was nice to have that part in the back of the store added to my personal pc. few gigs of ram, couple of 300gb hard drives, heck, i'd build 4-5 systems @ 3ghz each. tv card for watching some tv or satelite feed, get a few monitors/switches for the mouse/keyboard and of course a really pimp wired network " someday trevor, someday.... :(
1.3ghz ain't too bad i guess. (1300mhz). it plays xp and the vid card is really cool (makes me able to play alot of high end games i can't afford to play online /w). i lost my soundcard but my sound is decent. old amp hooked up to the green audio on the back. has 2 old speakers /w it hung at either side of my room, top corners. decent setup for now (and i was born in Canada where life is freaking good. how often do we think life sucks only to see a little evening news and see it's not us on the screen in rough shape. we are truely blessed with the peace we have covering from coast to coast. states and provinces are the size of MOST countries in the world forming our super countries /w super benefits)
